The build so far

It’s been incredibly exciting to watch our new centre take shape. Building work for the brand new €600mn centre has been progressing at great pace.

Our concept for the mall is based on the idea of one gesture, one design, one identity. We believe it gives the shopping centre the allure and comfort it deserves, says Roberto Meyer – Founder and Principal Architect at MVSA Architects.

An investment by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield is helping to rebuild the outdated Leidsenhage shopping centre and transform it into an international icon for retail. With an impressive 117,000 m2 of floor space, Westfield Mall of the Netherlands will feature flagship stores from leading brands and shops from local entrepreneurs, as well as offering a variety of trendy cafes and eateries. Marrying shopping with lifestyle, the mall will be a place for visitors to unwind, housing a cinema, a food market and special boutique area.

We’re looking forward to opening our fantastic new centre in March 2021 and to be able to share our reimagined customer experience.
